Emily, there is a lot of interesting autodidact polyglot stuff on youtube that I think could be useful to homeschoolers, if you aren’t already tapped into it. I really like Alexander Arguelles’ stuff for example.
If your student’s interest in languages persists into high school, you might check out the North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad. My recent graduate really wanted to compete, but we never were able to find a local place for him to participate.
I competed in Certamen for many years and teach Lingua Latina now so I am excited to follow up the the additional resources you mention here!
